about

Around 1998 or so Yogurt had moved from being the home-recording concern of Matty Luv to being a "band" in order to play a handful of shows. This lineup was Matty on guitar, Chubby (Hickey's first bassist) on guitar, and myself on drums. We all sang too. Our dear friend Joe Demaree (Unit Breed/Ringwurm) recorded these songs in his garage in San Jose. The night before we had played a party in Gilroy, and I jumped off a roof into a pile of hay. I learned that I'm really fucking allergic to hay. This recording originally was released on a compilation, but I don't remember much about it.- Aesop

about

Yogurt San Francisco, California

Yogurt wasn't really a band. It was the name given to Matty (and sometimes Aesop) of Hickey's home 4 track recordings which started around 1993 and continued until Matty's death in 2002. Matty's amazing gift for lyrics and sweet pop hooks was uncanny, now these songs stand as the proof.
